1000 Threads produces documentaries about artists. We work with our clients from conception to completion of a film. We strive to capture a very personal look into the artistic processes to the final viewing of the artwork in various contexts, from the artist's studio to galleries and museum. The artists let us into their world and we in turn offer that as a means for an audience to view these films, whether intimate one on one, in a gallery or museum, exhibition or to a global community.
We start pre-production working closely with the artist to capture the making of their artwork, their philosophies, and the world they live in. Following preproduction/ coordinating a shooting schedule we go on location to capture the artist at work. In postproduction we finesse the footage into a flowing visual montage. The final fete is composing an original score to enrich the mood of the film.
